G string is and an under garment worn by either men or women. So called because the material that is used around the waist and between the buttocks for holding the garment in place is so thin it resembles string. It is often known as a thong depending on country. G strings are made in most type of material from lyrca to leather to lace and can be found in all colours. By the 1980’s it was becoming increasingly popular among western womenand it had become one of the most fashionable pieces of underwear by the turn of the 21st century. The G String proved to be popular as it did not show through tight fitting outerwear although it’s popularity in some countries is beginning to decrease as fashion styles change .
